Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Gal 6:9

Sowing Goodness

The principle of harvest is very clear that whatever we sow is multiplied in season. Expectation of goodness is within everyone but efforts have to be made as Paul suggests, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” (Gal 6:9). Expecting returns too early at times can be wearisome, but faith in the principe of harvest should cultivate the act of sowing goodness. David also sings with confirmation about the assured harvest in Psalms, “Let those who wept as they sowed their seed, gather the harvest with joy” (Ps 126:5). Let’s enjoy sowing seeds of good thoughts, good words and good actions as we meet our friends and families.

Abba, give us the heart of an expectant farmer. Let your Spirit encourage us to keep sowing goodness. Amen.
