May grace and peace be yours in full measure through your knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.  2 Pet 1:2

Grace Greeted

People who love us send us greetings on important occasions, such as birthdays, marriage anniversaries, graduation days, Christmas and New Year. They boost our friendships and lift our hearts in a very special manner. But no greeting can match the one the Apostles had for each other, “May grace and peace be yours in full measure through your knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord” (2 Pet 1:2). When the Archangel Gabriel visited Mary, his greeting message contained grace, "Greetings, you favored with grace! The Lord is with you" (Lk 1:28). The letters of Paul are filled with greetings of grace, “May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace” (1 Cor 1:3). We need grace above all other blessings for that would complete anything we lack in any area of our lives. When Paul prayed about his physical ailment to the Lord three times, “His answer was: ‘My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak.’ I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weaknesses, in order to feel the protection of Christ's power over me” (2 Cor 12:9).  As Christians, tutored by the Apostles’ epistles, let’s cultivate the habit of greeting grace.

Abba, continue to fill our lives with Your Divine Grace. Let’s your Spirit help us greet grace to one another, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
