And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Mt 28.20

Abiding Presence

The greatest of promises Christ has left with us is His abiding presence. It is too lofty for ordinary person to understand this mystery, “And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Mt 28.20). When He left for heaven to be by the right side of His Father, His power and glory are such that He can make it happen and keep His word. The author to the Book of the Hebrews enjoyed and experienced His abiding presence, hence he could declare, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb 13:8). Let’s remain strengthened by this unfailing love that confirms, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Heb 13:5).  Day by day, let’s be confirmed of His love that would protect, help, and heal by embracing and surrounding us. As believers we need to remind each other of His abiding presence that would illuminate our faith and charge our spirits. Walking with the ever protecting arms of God will keep us hale and healthy.

Abba, thank you for Your Son’s ever abiding presence with us. Let Your Spirit help us be strengthened in this faith, in Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.
