I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. Ps 40:1

Perfect Timing

Expecting deliverance is common to mankind be it slavery or sickness. Waiting on Him with full of hope is a matured faith that receives complete answer. Mighty acts of God were done on behalf of the Israelites who almost lost hope in Egyptian slavery - “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years. But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with many possessions” (Gen 15:13-14) - but God delivered in His perfect timing. The Commandments that brings life and wellbeing for society was delivered when moses waited on Him, “Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water” (Ex 34:28). A woman who completely lost confidence also got delivered on perfect timing, “And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years” (Mk 5:25). Healing hands of God went up to the pool of Bethesda to raise and heal, “Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” (Jn 5:5-6). Let’s never grow tired waiting on Him for He desires His children to be delivered, as the philosopher invites us to believe in God’s perfect timing, “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecc 3:1). Let’s also encourage each other and remain strengthened in faith.

Abba, thank you for reserving our healing and deliverance. Let your Spirit keep our faith alive, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
