No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. Ps 91:10

Protection Declared

Holding on to the promises of God brings protection that we need and desire. Biblical promises that were given to representatives of mankind, be it to one person like David, belong to all mankind; hence, we can rely on them for protection. Knowledge about this mystery has saved and delivered many, so let’s be renewed in faith by declaring His love, His name, “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name” (Ps 91:14). The results and rewards of knowing and enjoying the marvellous treasures that are hidden in the most holy book, need taking possession of them, “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field” (Mt 13:44).  No one buys anything that does not benefit, and hence protective shields, that God has kept in store for His beloved children in the form of His word, need to be possessed; then we can confidently sing along with David, the permanent and lifetime protection, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life” (Ps 23:6). Let’s rejoice and enjoy the declared protection, despite our incapacity to comprehend the privilege we enjoy day and night.

Abba, thank you for keeping us and our dwellings safe. Let your Spirit help us pray and thank You abundantly, in Jesus’ Most Mighty Name, Amen.
