“For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” Jn 4:24

Due Worship

Clarity has been given by heaven as to how we ought to extend our worship and enhance our lives by being blessed. Spiritual knowledge is not something that we can invent, it has to be revealed; hence, Christ shared the greatest mystery about the Divine Being: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.” (Gen 1:1-2) The relation between the Creator and the created is that of spiritual union, for He shared His Spirit: “Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.” (Gen 2:7) Reverence should be adhered to this mystery for it is beyond human comprehension and itself is a great blessing. Let’s remain united with Him, by reading the revealed truth, and rejoice with His Spirit in prayer, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words” (Rom 8:26). Spiritual exercises, when practiced, strengthen our spirit and help us united with our God who is Spirit Himself.

Abba, help us worship You in spirit and truth. Let Your Spirit rejoice as we extend the worship that is due, in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
