“The right time has come,” he said, “and the Kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins and believe the Good News!” Mk 1:15

Kingdom At Hand

The very first preaching of Christ had the message about the availability of God’s Kingdom, and the insistence upon desiring His Kingdom: “The right time has come, and the Kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins and believe the Good News!” (Mk 1:15) Keeping God’s Kingdom as priority would bring us all the blessings that we desire, for Christ has clearly promised in His words: “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” (Mt 6:33). The prophet Isaiah also suggests that we need to take steps, by changing our way of life, as our dear Lord is extending mercy and pardon: “Turn to the Lord and pray to him, now that he is near. Let the wicked leave their way of life and change their way of thinking. Let them turn to the Lord, our God; he is merciful and quick to forgive” (Is 55:6-7). Let’s understand this mystery, that the Kingdom is at hand, and take full advantage and remain blessed.

Abba, thank you for keeping Your Kingdom at our reach, by Your Son’s announcement. Let Your Spirit help us possess and enjoy, and remain in Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
