“Yes,” says the LORD, “I will do mighty miracles for you, like those I did when I rescued you from slavery in Egypt.” Micah 7:15

God of Wonders

The promises we should hear, time and time again, should be one of God working wonders on our behalf, as He has declared in the time of Prophet Micah: “‘Yes,’ says the LORD, ‘I will do mighty miracles for you, like those I did when I rescued you from slavery in Egypt.’” (Micah 7:15). When Moses pleaded with God for forgiveness of the sin of stubbornness of the Israelites, God extended His compassion, and worked wonders on their behalf: “Then God said, ‘Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the LORD, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.’” (Ex 34:10). Together with the Psalmist, each and every day, we should praise our God, who unceasingly protects and provides, despite our failures, for His love is so wonderful: “Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, Who alone works wonders” (Ps 72:18). Let’s believe in the God, who alone can save us by working wonders.

Abba, thank You for protecting us by working wonders on our behalf. Let Your Spirit raise our hope, and bring us closer and faithful to You. In Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
