My tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe. Ps 45:1

Available for Him

Anyone who wants himself to be used for the greater glory of God, should be able to surrender his members fully unto His service and remain His instrument, only then he can produce to the greatest advantage: “My heart overflows with a pleasing theme; I address my verses to the king; my tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe” (Ps 45:1). A person who is so full of self is no use to God, whereas the one who keeps himself as an empty vessel shall be filled with His Spirit and Words, as Job experienced: “For I am full of words, and the spirit within me compels me” (Job 32:18). Solomon knew this, when he humbled himself and requested for wisdom, got his heart filled with the divine wisdom that came through his lips, and remained a school of learning for many: “The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips” (Prov 16:23).  Let’s desire to be used by God, and keep ourselves available for Him, anytime.

Abba, thank You for using us, unworthy vessels. Let Your Spirit fill us with Your wisdom, that we may learn and teach. In Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
