Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Jer 1:5

His Purposeful Creation

Nothing and no one came into existence by coincidence, but everything and everyone were created with a definite purpose that He wants to achieve, as Isaiah declares about the mystery of his life: “Listen to Me, O islands, And pay attention, you peoples from afar. The LORD called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother He named Me” (Is 49:1). To Prophet Jeremiah, also, He clarified the purpose and vocation of his life that He had in mind, when He designed his life: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (Jer 1:5). It’s truly amazing that servants of God have this special revelation regarding the master craft of the Creator, for a definite purpose, as David joyfully sings in his hymn: “Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them” (Ps 139:16). Let’s believe in the master plan of God for each and every one of us, and remain grateful.

Abba, thank You for including us in the greatest work of Creation. Let Your Spirit help us appreciate, and enable us to praise You forever. In Jesus’ Most Glorious Name, Amen.
