Like children, we have a long list of things to ask our Heavenly Father, but the One who has introduced God as the father, also encouraged to pray, “Ask, and it will be given to you” (Mt 7:7). One of the most important conditions in asking and praying, is that it has to be done in His name: “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (Jn 14:14). When we pray for things that are essential, Jesus assures that He would do that for us, because by that act His Heavenly Father is glorified: “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (Jn 14:13). Let’s honestly pray in Jesus’ holiest name, that would bestow on us the blessings we need. 

Abba, thank You for giving us the right to pray in our Savior’s name. Let Your Spirit encourage us to glorify You and receive the blessings, in Jesus’ Mightiest Name, Amen.
