Revelations and visions are God’s way of giving a message regarding a particular instance that needs divine light to receive guidance and leading, and that came to Daniel when he waited upon God in prayer: “while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the first, came to me in swift flight at the time of the evening sacrifice” (Dan 9:21).  Prayer is the greatest way that brings answers to the mysteries that surround us, for Daniel was given the gift he needed by God Himself: “He made me understand, speaking with me and saying, ‘O Daniel, I have now come out to give you insight and understanding.’” (Dan 9:22). Faith is needed for anyone to receive answers for his sincerest prayers, that God honors and sends replies through His angels: “‘At the beginning of your pleas for mercy a word went out, and I have come to tell it to you, for you are greatly loved. Therefore consider the word and understand the vision.’” (Dan 9:23). Let our prayers reach Heaven, that God may send His angels with gifts of understanding.

Abba, thank You for assuring us that You hear our prayers. Let Your Spirit help us receive Your messengers and the message, in Jesus’ Holiest Name, Amen.
