We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors. 2 Cor 5:20

Ambassadors of Christ

Living in an age of social media, we are well aware of the role of an ambassador of a nation or the duty of the spokesperson. The loud noise of the enemy’s representatives, makes it harder for people to hear the message of God; hence let’s take up the role of the believer, who has the right to proclaim His gospels, for it is the need of the hour, as Paul took up the role and exercised: “We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God” (2 Cor 5:20). Many, who have accepted the role, have temptations to speak on their own, but as ambassadors, we can and should only speak on His behalf, which might cause discomfort also, that Paul readily accepted: “I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should” (Eph 6:20). Speak on behalf of His Kingdom or, at least, support the ambassadors by genuine prayer: “Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should” (Col 4:4). Let us be active in our walk of faith, and be collaborators of His Kingdom.

Abba, thank You for accepting us, unworthy servants as Your ambassadors. Let Your Spirit give us courage to speak on Your behalf, in Jesus’ Mightiest Name, Amen.
