Advertisements are the tool used by the selfish business world and corrupt politicians to capture power, by constant propagation of falsehood and lies that deceive ignorant and innocent victims in today’s world. The commandment was given to Moses, before Israel became a nation, that none of them should bear false witness, that would cause confusion and calamity in society: “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” (Ex 20:16). The world needs to know the truth and take a clear stand to side with the truth, so that justice, peace, and social order may prevail: “Jesus answered. ‘For this reason I was born and have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to My voice.’” (Jn 18:37). Freedom of any kind begins with the realisation of the truth, that demands action against deceit, as Jesus Himself declares, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (Jn 8:32). Let everyone proclaim the truth to mankind, that truth may triumph and liberate us from all forms of evil and oppression.

Abba, thank You for assigning us as the proclaimers of the Truth. Let Your Spirit empower us to remain witnesses to the Truth, in Jesus’ Holiest Name, Amen.
