So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. Ps 103:11

The Greatest Love

The horizons of the understanding of human love expands as the person grows: mother’s love, father’s love, sibling’s love, relative’s love, friend’s love, spouse’ love, children’s love, and so on. These are all temporal and conditional when one comprehends the love of the Creator, that is beyond measures, as David sings, “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him” (Ps 103:11). The extension of the divine love flows to those who fear Him as compassion: “Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him” (Ps 103:13). It is even unfathomable for human minds, how His love for His beloved continues generation after generation, as revealed to the psalmist: “But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children” (Ps 103:17). Let’s learn to comprehend the mystery of His love for those who fear Him, and be stable in His love, in awe and reverence.
