“But from this day on I will bless you.” Haggai 2:19

He Blesses Abundantly

Everyone desires blessings and tries to achieve them by his own efforts, but as children of God, we need to approach the heavenly Father, only whose hands can bless us abundantly, as in the time of Prophet Haggai: “Is the seed yet in the barn? Indeed, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have yielded nothing. But from this day on I will bless you” (Haggai 2:19). We should desire and ask for the blessing from Heaven, that we may enjoy abundance, as revealed to the prophet: “The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people” (Zechariah 8:12). Together with David, who knew how to receive and to whom to approach, let’s draw near to God and request for abundant blessings: “The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us” (Ps 67:6).

Abba, thank You for being the source of abundant blessings for Your children. Let Your Spirit lead us to You to receive our own share of blessing. In Jesus’ Most Blessed Name, Amen.
