Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus. Acts 8:35

Introduce Jesus Personally

Only the person, who has experienced Jesus in his life and enjoyed Him as a Savior, can convince others of the salvation that comes through Him. Alerted by the angel and advised by the Spirit, Philip went near the Ethiopian treasurer who was reading the Scriptures, and proclaimed to him personally about Jesus: “Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus” (Acts 8:35). Paul, the apostle who had the privileged encounter personally with the Risen Lord, took it as a duty to introduce Jesus to the world: “And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is the Son of God.’” (Acts 9:20). The joy of knowing and experiencing Jesus compelled Paul to that extent that he submitted himself as a slave and proclaimed His Name everywhere: “For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Corinthians 4:5). May we have the courage and conviction to introduce Jesus to others personally.

Abba, thank You for making us know Your Son Jesus. Let Your Spirit fill our hearts with the courage to proclaim His Name everywhere. In Jesus’ Mightiest Name, Amen.
