Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about all the destruction that I intend to bring on them, they will turn from their evil ways. Jer 36:3

Intention of Writing

Right from the fall of the first family, human beings have the tendency to choose not the right thing or the right way; hence they are wayward and end up in destruction and condemnation. That is why the Loving God instructs the prophet to write and warn: “In the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was king of Judah, the Lord said to me, ‘Get a scroll and write on it everything that I have told you about Israel and Judah and all the nations. Write everything that I have told you from the time I first spoke to you, when Josiah was king, up to the present.’” (Jer 36:1-2). Nobody can extend more mercy than the Loving God, who intends that His people give up evil ways and accept His forgiveness that saves and blesses them, as revealed to the prophet: “Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about all the destruction that I intend to bring on them, they will turn from their evil ways. Then I will forgive their wickedness and their sins.”(Jer 36:3). May we be led by the Book that is been handed over to us, to guide us to the right way.

Abba, thank You for always arranging people to write and give us Your plan and path of salvation. Let Your Spirit enable us to humbly follow and obey Your Written Words, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
