“Sovereign Lord, you made the earth and the sky by your great power and might; nothing is too difficult for you.” Jer 32:17

Wait and Trust

In our distress we groan and pray for the assistance from God, but when it is not happening we doubt and worry why He is not doing that for us. When we read the prayer of Prophet Jeremiah, we notice him mentioning the omnipotence of God: “Sovereign Lord, you made the earth and the sky by your great power and might; nothing is too difficult for you.” (Jer 32:17) and while answering back to Jeremiah, God also admits His power to do everything easily: “Then the Lord said to me, ‘I am the Lord, the God of all people. Nothing is too difficult for me.’” (Jer 32:26-27). We sometimes wonder why our dear Lord does not seem to be doing the things we prayed for; and that is when we need to wait and trust Him, for He does everything for the wellbeing of His Children.

Abba, thank you for being our God and all powerful. Let your Spirit enable us to trust and wait on His Providence, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
