As Jesus was leaving the Temple, one of his disciples said, “Look, Teacher! What wonderful stones and buildings!” Mk 13:1

His Fabulous Creation

Looking at the vastness and complexity of galaxies and the multitude of their constellation, one should marvel at the mystery of His fabulous creation. Every human person also is a wonder beyond imagination, as we reflect on the richness of its creation. Instead of praising and thanking God for the great works that He has done, human beings take pride and make vain glory in the achievements of their own inferior constructions: “As Jesus was leaving the Temple, one of his disciples said, ‘Look, Teacher! What wonderful stones and buildings!’” (Mk 13:1). The Master Teacher explained His disciples the inferior nature of the temporal works of human hands: “Jesus answered, ‘You see these great buildings? Not a single stone here will be left in its place; every one of them will be thrown down.’” (Mk 13:2). May we meditate upon the fabulous creation of the Mighty God, and give glory to Him unceasingly.

Abba, thank You for creating us and the universe in an unimaginably wonderful way. Let Your Spirit help us praise You for creating us and the nature around us. In Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
