We all are entrusted with specific duties and are expected to be responsible for the task. Only few people realize the importance of preparing themselves better to achieve the goal that is set before them. It needs discipline and perseverance on the part of any individual who is concerned about his business. Jesus found such men when He was walking along the beach and chose them to be His beloved apostles: “He saw two boats pulled up on the beach; the fishermen had left them and were washing the nets” (Lk 5:2). May we ask God to give us hope and strength to endure the challenges of life.

Abba, thank You for encouraging us to be concerned about our duties. Let Your Spirit strengthen us to be more faithful in performing our responsibilities, in Jesus’ Most Faithful Name, Amen.
