Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.” Acts 10:34-35

The Surprising Equality

As human beings, we have individual perceptions that influence the way we set standards for others and the treatment we extend to them. But God, who created everyone, shared His image and Spirit and salvation to all of us equally, just as the perfect father would do to his children. Chief Apostle was deeply convinced of this mystery of the surprising equality through a revelation he received from God: “Then Peter replied, ‘I see very clearly that God shows no favoritism. In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.’” (Acts 10:34-35). May we appreciate God sufficiently for treating us all equally, and practice the sense of equality in our daily encounters with believers, regardless of talent, status, color, county and race.

Abba, thank You for treating us equally, as we are all Your children. Let Your Spirit enable us to broaden our mentality to celebrate the beauty of equality, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
