I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. Is 41:18

Thirst for Him

Situations of life, when they are difficult, make us grow weary and feel exhausted. In spiritual life, too, we may feel abandoned and dry due to no supply of water for nourishment. Chances are there that we loose hope and give up faith. That is where the promise of God, prophesied through Isaiah, needs to be trusted, for thirstiness and dryness are the right conditions for receiving and absorbing the mighty outpouring of His Spirit. “When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue is parched with thirst, I the Lord will answer them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” (Is 41:17-18) May we look up to Him, who alone can satisfy our being and the land by His shower of constant anointing.

Abba, thank You for the promise of supply of Your Holy Spirit. Let Your Spirit fill us, as we are thirsting for Him in this situation of dryness, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
