People complain about growing tired and getting weak. The food they take and the medicines that they consume do not provide them with the strength necessary. That is when they should look up to the One, who is always ready and willing to empower them by supplying His strength. Isaiah invites us to draw from the Wellspring of Strength to get renewed to accomplish the duties that are set before us: “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Is 40:29). May we believe in the caring love of God, and get sufficient strength, and be a witness to His might.

Abba, thank You for supplying Your strength. Let Your Spirit bring us close to You whenever we grow tired or weak, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
