They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. Mt 14:20

Resources Are Gathered

Anything that is essential for the survival of the human beings can be classified as a resource, and food becomes one of the most important in the list. God provides food for His children when they are in need, and sustains them to their satisfaction, but He is also concerned that food as a resource cannot be waisted as leftovers. Jesus’ instruction to His disciples regarding leftovers clearly makes us realize that we need to be careful about the resources that are entrusted with us: “They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers” (Mt 14:20). Just like food in this event, we all have unimaginable amount of potential as resources, and we too are the greatest resources that God would never want to waste. May we realize the importance of ourselves and our potentials, and gather them toward the wellbeing of ourselves and those around us.

Abba, thank You for blessing us with enormous amount of resources. Let Your Spirit make us realize the importance of our being and potential, and enable us to sum them up to actualise our desired goals, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
