Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him. Eph 1:

Purpose of Choice

A deep reflection about the meaning of our life and our vocation in relation to God is beyond the realm of our reach. God has a definite purpose for creating each one of us, and knowing that would make our life more meaningful. Right at the beginning of his letter, Paul brings to our notice the purpose of His choice, that is to stand in front of Him - holy and blameless: “Even before the world was made, God had already chosen us to be his through our union with Christ, so that we would be holy and without fault before him” (Eph 1:4). May we be grateful that He has chosen us to stand in His presence, and ask for His grace to live up to the vocation.

Abba, thank You for choosing us to stand in front of You. Let Your Spirit enable us to  be holy and without fault in our daily walk of life, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
