Food is essential for the sustenance and survival of human beings. When the Israelite came out of Egypt, there was a real lack of the supply of food, as they were in the desert. They groaned and complained against Moses and Aron. God immediately poured food from heaven to fill their stomachs to their satisfaction, because He cares for the needs of His people: “ The Lord said to Moses, 'Now I am going to cause food to rain down from the sky for all of you. The people must go out every day and gather enough for that day. In this way I can test them to find out if they will follow my instructions.'” (Ex 16:4). We, the believers and the children of the same God, should never doubt His providence, for He never abandons His children in their difficulties. May we rely upon Him in all situations, so that we can witness miracles from above, that satisfy our needs.

Abba, thank You for being there to supply for our needs. Let Your Spirit make us trust and rely upon You for all our needs, in Jesus’ Most Merciful Name, Amen.
