Forgetfulness is one of the common things that happens to people even in their spiritual life. Only the awareness of our true identity and vocation can make us remain stable in our spiritual life. Chief Apostle Peter knew the importance of this awareness, hence he writes and reminds: “Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble” (2 Pet 1:10). Let us be always mindful of our status and be responsible in continuing our daily spiritual exercises. 

Abba, thank You for providing us with a special calling. Let Your Spirit make us remember our identity everyday, in Jesus’ Most Adorable Name, Amen.
