"The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field." Mt 13:31-32

Plant the Seed

One thing that astonishes everyone is the size of the seed and the potency it has to develop into an unimaginable tree. All that matters is that the seed needs to be planted if we need to see the outcome of a new tree which in turn produces multitude of new seeds. In life we too must trust in the power of God, who can make us grow beyond our desire and comprehension, as Jesus shared the mystery to His audience: "He told them another parable: 'The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.'" (Mt 13:31-32). Believing and planting the seed is the task that is given to us, and making it grow and produce many more is His duty. May we trust in Him and plant the seed that is entrusted with us and wait for the miraculous growth by His loving mercy.

Abba, thank You so much for asking us to plant the seed. Let Your Spirit strengthen our faith in Your power that makes us grow, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
