For centuries, the mankind awaited to hear from God the announcement of it’s liberation, as they were under the curse caused by the disobedience of the first parents. They might have thought that God had abandoned them or forgotten them totally, but He sent His special messenger, the Archangel Gabriel in the right time to Mary , the representative of the entire human race, with the good news of salvation: "And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women" (Lk 1:28). God’s message surprised Mary, just as his message surprises each of us because He usually sends His word when we least expect. May we take heart and live in hope  to receive the word from God because we are living in the age of the Holy Spirit, who is actively engaged in executing the plans of God, also in our lives.

Abba, thank You for giving us hope and asking us to be alert to receive Your message. Let Your Spirit guide us and execute the plan You have for us in our lives, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
