And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? Mt 20:6

Let Us Work

One of the problems of today’s world is that there are a vast majority of people that are unemployed. The rulers of the nations do not seem to be bothered by the situation of these men and women who have enormous amount of potential that they need to contribute in the form of labor and earn a decent wage for the well-being of the family. God is very much concerned that His children are employed and enjoy the benefit of their work. The man highlighted in Jesus’ parable has a heart that has concern for everyone who needs a job: “And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?  They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive” (Mt 20:6-7). May we be grateful to God for the work He has entrusted with us and put in all the efforts for the betterment of everyone.

Abba, thank You so much for the work that You have given us. Let Your Spirit enable us to enjoy the labour and have a heart for the jobless, In Jesus’ Most Compassionate Name, Amen.
