I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Lk 10:21

Revelation Unto Babes

Even though knowledge can be the greatest tool to comprehend and unravel the things of the world, it is in fact a great hurdle in receiving revelation from God. Only a truly learned person can admit the limitedness of the realm of human knowledge. Things that are outside the sphere of the categories of human knowledge have been either denied or insulted by mankind down the centuries. The group of men that Jesus choose were very ordinary and humble people, who were able to receive, believe and exercize the secrets of the spiritual realm taught by their Master, and reported their firsthand experience of God’s power at work in collaboration with human faith. Upon receiving them with their astonishing results, Jesus praised God for the revelation unto the babes: “In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.” (Lk 10:21). May God grant us the grace of absolute faith that is found in children towards parents, and reveal the mysteries of heaven that work for our best benefits.

Abba, Thank You for reminding us to receive revelation like children. Let Your Spirit humble our knowledge to believe and cooperate with revelation, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
