No parents will be satisfied seeing only one or two of their children take up challenges and succeed in their life’s journey. In the same way God, our dearest Father, wants each and every one of us to march forward and achieve great heights. And to do so we need courage and confidence. Most people tend to be satisfied with the ordinary life and get settled for small things and remain stagnant, even though God has kept in them enormous potentials. To go beyond the ordinary and move forward, we need true strength, and that comes by the assurance of God’s ongoing company and His abiding presence in all circumstances—just as He assured to Joshua: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Josh 1:9). May God grant each of us a heart that trusts in His promise, that removes all fears and discouragements in our way.

Abba, thank You for assuring Your company in the journey of life. Let Your Spirit strengthen our hearts so that we can meet new challenges that come in our way, in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
