One of the gifts we have as human being is the capacity to choose. The person who knows the importance and benefit of this great gift can achieve a great success. In a situation between busy preparing food and listening to Jesus’ words, Mary chose the latter. And because of making such a wonderful choice, she not only got applause from Him, but also the promise that His word would stay with her: "But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her” (Lk 10:42). In life we are confronted with many choices, where we need God’s wisdom to choose the good that stays with us. May we ask and pray for His guidance to choose the good always in our life.

Abba, Thank You so much for inviting us to choose the good. Let Your Spirit enlighten us to choose only the good, in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
