"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Mk 10:45

Cost of Ransom

The price of a thing is determined by the demand of the thing that we need to purchase. No one would give unimaginably huge amount of money unless the buyer is convinced of the value of that thing. The cost of the redemption of the souls of the entire mankind was the very life of God’s own, only Son. God did not hesitate at the sight of the cost, and Jesus did not deny the sacrifice that He needed to make, and the Holy Spirit led Him through the completion of the transaction. Jesus Himself explained the purpose of His mission on earth in very clear words:  "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mk 10:45). May we also fully understand the economy of salvation, praise God enough for the value He has for us and the sacrifice He made for us and remain grateful all the days of our life.

Abba, thank You so much for paying the ransom for our salvation. Let Your Spirit make us praise and worship You for the sacrifice Jesus made for us, In Jesus’ Most Loving Name, Amen.
