Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Rom 12:13

Habit of Sharing

Hoarding and the accumulation of things have become the habits of the modern world. But when we go back few decades, I assure you, there was plenty of sharing that sustained families and communities with the excess of wealth. The problem that we have today is not about not having enough to share but about not having willingness to contribute to those in need. As we received the very life and also the nature from the share of God’s generosity, we should exhibit His nature in turn. A sincere look at the stock of things that we have should motivate us to share and make sharing our habit, as we are pilgrims on the earth; that is why Paul insists upon saying, “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” (Rom 12:13). Our time, thoughts, money and the space we live in, need to be shared if we truly claim as the children of the One Living God.

Abba, thank You for inviting us to partake in the sharing nature of You. Let Your Spirit motivate us to make sharing our habit, in Jesus’ Most Generous Name, Amen.
