And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. Lk 5:3

Stange Pulpit Rewarded

However defeated you may feel and feel like giving up, God still desires to get something from you so that He can bless and reward you. Toiling all night and being exhausted, Peter almost gave up, and that’s when Jesus came looking for a platform to preach. An empty boat, not ready to venture for sailing, is all that Peter had. When he handed it over willingly for the purpose of God, he not only caught multitude of fish but also an unexpected vocation, to become a fisher of men for Jesus: “And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship” (Lk 5:3). May we never give up on God, for He can still use something of us and bless us abundantly.

Abba, thank You for coming to us to bless when and where we are feeling weak and dejected. Let Your Spirit give us hope that we may receive from Your hand abundant blessing, In Jesus’ Most Blessed Name, Amen.
