“If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.” Lk 17:3

Rebuking Is Good

Reconciliation and peace should be the goal of everyone and also that of every nation. Well, then, everyone together can prosper. Occasional misunderstanding in a relationship, that may appear as a sin, needs rebuking in the first hand to protect and prosper unity. Forgiveness is the next thing you are commanded to use to calm the situation and promote love; and that love is the great blessing. That’s why the Master Himself has given us this provision, as a means to use in our daily lives: “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.” (Lk 17:3) May we benefit from the principles that God has given us to use. Rebuking is necessary and it should be done for our own advantage to promote peace and receive blessings.

Abba, thank You for forgiving and protecting us. Let Your Spirit make us understand and appreciate forgiveness, and praise You enough, in Jesus’ Most Loving Name, Amen.
