If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. Jn 15.7

Answer for Prayer

The major thing that distinguishes the mankind from the rest of creatures is its capacity for words and language. The complexity of the use of words in our communication has made the mankind creative and innovative, finding and expanding the horizons of knowledge and development. We tend to take for granted the best gifts that we possess, such as the use of words for the building and betterment of our own life and that of people around us. Jesus, the master teacher goes one step ahead in highlighting the advantage of keeping His words in our life, that would make us pray right and the answer for prayer being heard: “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (Jn 15.7). Double union is demanded as the condition for effective prayer request and the assurance of an answer from God. May we remain faithful to God by letting His Words remain in us so that we abide in Him. This would preserve and protect our life and keep us always blessed.

Abba, Thank You for letting Your Son’s word abide in us. Let Your Spirit facilitate that we abide in Him, In Jesus’ Most Abiding Name, Amen.
