Let me now go to the field, and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find favor. Ruth 2:2

Words of Faith

Words are the most important part of human life, and the richness and beauty of life depend very much upon the choice of words. Hence, we need to pay attention to the words we choose to make sure they correspond to the needs of our life. The Scriptures confirm this truth by giving a warning that the choice of words is the matter of life and death: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Prov 18:21). The life and situation that Ruth underwent were very hard and difficult, but these situations did not shatter her spirit, as we see her declare the words of faith: “And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find favor. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.” (Ruth 2:2). The power of the right word combined with the right action brought her what she really needed and more than that. When howling gales and storms of life seem tough on us, let us never surrender ourselves to be defeated by pronouncing negative words and lose confidence and hope; instead, declare with joy the words of faith and march towards finding and meeting with God’s arrangement of blessing.

Abba, Thank You for inspiring us to declare the words of faith in the face of chaos and calamity. Let Your Spirit lead us to venture and collect the grace that You have stored for us in places, In Jesus’ Most Hopeful Name, Amen.
