And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ Mt 25:40

Account with Heaven

We are living in an age where many people migrate to faraway places to earn bread and living for their loved ones. They strive hard to make as much money as they can and save and send them to their children and families they love the most, through money transfer agencies. Well, having said this as an example, is there any way we can send and give God our Maker from our labour so that we may extend our love and gratitude to Him? The teaching of Jesus revealed the mystery and way regarding how to open an account with Heaven, that surprised His audience: “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.  I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.” (Mt 25: 35-36) The people who got perplexed at this report being told about them, were stunned by the statement: “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,  you were doing it to me!’” (Mt 25:40) May we never miss an opportunity to set up an account and save the wealth for our next life in His Kingdom by feeding the hungry, satiating the thirsty, welcoming the stranger, clothing the naked, caring for the sick and visiting the imprisoned, in whatever little way possible and receive shelter with Him eternally.

Abba, Thank You for inviting us to invest in Your Kingdom. Let Your Spirit convince us of this mystery so that we may extend to the little ones around us who are struggling in need of our mercy, In Jesus’ Most Compassionate Name, Amen.
