“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.” Jer 31:25

Hope in Him

When all that we believe as our assets and strength go contrary to our expectation, and do not produce the results we desire, the soul gets tired and despairs. Losing of hope can be the worst thing that can happen to an individual in such occasions. But the thought of the promise of God, who has declared His plan for our future, should come to our aid and strengthen our soul: 'For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.'” (Jer 29:11)  Only keeping our focus on the promises of the Lord, can revive the soul from all its hopelessness and tiredness. The hope of our revival or regaining of strength and nourishment, does not depend on our capabilities or further efforts, but on the promise of His that can refresh, revive and refill the soul with necessary strength to believe and relish the results He brings: “For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.” (Jer 31:25) May we never let go of our grip on the promise of God, who still holds the responsibility of restoring the health of our soul and future by His merciful acts.

Abba, Thank You for the promise of taking the responsibility of satisfying and replenishing our weary and depressed souls. Let Your Spirit strengthen our hope in the promises you have made, In Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
