Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. Gal 6:9

Produce Ye Fruits

Most of the fruits that we savor come to us through the labour of those who we never knew. It is now our turn to gather the seeds of our desired fruits and sow, so that the coming generation may get the taste of the best of our fruits. It involves effort to sow, to pour, to manure and to hopefully wait for the time to reap. If the region we live in does not have the desired fruit of the Spirit, savored by Paul—“love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Gal 5:22-23)—then, it is our God-given duty to introduce to the region the best flavor of the choicest fruit. The law of nature confirms the effect of the sowed seeds; hence, Paul urges us with the mission: “Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.” (Gal 6:9-10) May we be generous enough to sow our best fruits that those around us may taste and sow in turn, and let the earth be filled with good fruits.

Abba, Thank You for inviting us to produce savoring fruits. Let Your spirit make it grow and multiply to satisfy the need of the household of faith, In Jesus’ Most Precious Name, Amen.
