who indeed made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, based not on the letter but on the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit imparts life. 2 Co 3:

Let Him Control

For centuries the people of God were led by the written laws, that were interpreted to guide them into regularizing the course of life. The new era dawned with the arrival of Jesus, and the promise of the Holy Spirit takes over the duty of guiding and governing the life of individual believers, as He promised: “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper so He may be with you forever—  the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him. You know Him, because He abides with you and will be in you.” (Jn 14:16-17) Believers need to know about the new provision of God, so that they can update and march ahead, receiving commands and directions from the divine counselor. Paul, having been under the new governance of His Spirit, also shares his experience of formation to fit into being servants of the new covenant: “who indeed made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, based not on the letter but on the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit imparts life.” (2 Co 3:6) May we incorporate our lives into this new mode of God’s leading, that imparts us with abundant life.

Abba, Thank You for the arrangement of the Spirit-led Life. Let Your Spirit teach us that we may faithfully align our lives according to His promptings, In Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name, Amen.
