Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Col 3:15

REIGN OF PEACE

Living in an age of computer and iPads, we may understand the meaning of the term “OS”—a system that runs the device according to its own written and registered norms. Paul is coming with a brilliant suggestion that needs to run and rule our individual life, thereby become the rule of the world: “ Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” (Col 3:15) Rule is something that we need to understand, to permit to govern our individual life and the life of the whole. The rule of Christ equals the rule of peace. The uniform that we all need to wear as a rule as a member of His Kingdom and as a servant of His Army, is also told in advance in another suggestion. Another reminder in the same letter states the dress code and the necessity of wearing the garment of love, that perfects unity: “And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” (Col 3:14) May we all take this message of God with kind understanding and spread the message of peace that needs to reign the lives of all.

Abba, Thank You for giving us the gift of peace. Let Your Holy Spirit control everything that we do and put ourselves under the reign of peace, In Jesus’ Most Peaceful Name, Amen.
