Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Lk 9:62

Be Very Careful

Every profession has a definite skill; anyone who needs to be in that profession has to do everything that comes, with that operational manual and all the instruction he needs to know, practice, and apply in time of need. The image that we are given today is one of the farmer, who should set his hand very firm on the plow that is supported by the oxen in front of you, and be careful. Here again, additional instruction in the manual is: not to look back. As a servant of God, you should know and obey very clearly, trusting the one who has chosen you for this special ministry. First thing is, make sure you be on the right field. Second, have strong grip and look for your Master who would tell whether to proceed or not to proceed, and which direction that you need to proceed. You have only a very small responsibility, so: Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” (Lk 9:62) Hold on to the throttle and hold it firm, look for instructions, fully trust and obey and the commander who has put you for this mission, He will complete what needs to be done.

Abba, Thank You for the clearest instructions in the manual of the Word of God. Let Your Spirit remind us to be careful to read the manual before take off, and arrive at the destination, and drop and move and complete our vocation. In Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
