You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Ps 23:5

The Richest Provisions

World-renowned cruise ships compete with each other by advertising the truly authentic and international multi-cuisine to attract potential customers. It’s almost impossible for anyone to comprehend the dinner He arranges for His chosen ones, for He is the one who created the person, substance, food and everything on earth. Hence, His provision of food for His ones are the richest and the best—nourishing, refreshing and strengthening. David exclaimed at the arrangement and the song proceeded from his mouth: “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” (Ps 23:5) The oil of the unction of the Holy Spirit that no-one can purchase, however rich he may be, and He chooses to pour on the one who the world may consider unworthy, yes, it is true, the most unworthy receives that special anointing. The consequence is the cup of the chosen one gets filling, and the level of the filling is described as running over, or brimming over, for the advantage of the others who are in need. None can take pride in getting it, for it is not purchasable, it’s pure gift and the highest form of mercy, the matchless compassion expressed.

Abba, Thank You for the richest provisions that we are unworthy to approach. Let Your Spirit so prepare us to receive and remain worthy to this calling. In Jesus’ Most Compassionate Name, Amen.
