Beware of Prophet

There are signs that warn people not to get near or touch and handle, for they are powerful; and hence, it is always wise to be away from that object or subject. Few men come under this category, and one of them is the prophet that He invites, and He sends, and He stations, for a particular task at the particular time, at the particular venue, for they always surrender their life to respond to the yearning of God, who thirsts to save His own people, as He did in the case of Isaiah: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I; send me!’ And he said, ‘Go and say to this people:

’Keep listening, but do not comprehend;

keep looking, but do not understand.”

Make the mind of this people dull,

  and stop their ears,

  and shut their eyes,

so that they may not look with their eyes,

  and listen with their ears,

and comprehend with their minds,

  and turn and be healed.’

Then I said, ‘How long, O Lord?’ And he said:

‘Until cities lie waste

  without inhabitant,

and houses without people,

  and the land is utterly desolate;

until the Lord sends everyone far away,

  and vast is the emptiness in the midst of the land.

Even if a tenth part remain in it,

  it will be burned again,

like a terebinth or an oak

  whose stump remains standing

  when it is felled.’

The holy seed is its stump” (Isaiah 6:8-13).

May we praise God for choosing prophets, and sending them to speak towards our own advantage, that we often cannot fully comprehend, because their calling and anointing and their words come from God, to help people to embrace salvation, that is perfected on the cross, that He wants mankind to understand and surrender.

Abba, Thank You for the vocation of the prophet. Let Your Spirit help us identify the presence of the prophet, and the message that comes through the prophet, in the time that we live, In Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
