“My God, I want to do what you want. Your teachings are in my heart.” Psalm 40:8

In My Heart

My God—the God whom we believe, trust, adore and worship is not someone who cannot reach us, or we cannot reach Him. He is not an impersonal god, He is a personal God. That’s why Psalmist says “My God.”

See, how he, with pride owns Him as his dear beloved.

I want to do what You want—one of the best dispositions you can ever have. Asking God what He wants and expressing your desire to do. …What a beautiful prayer it is!

It needs courage, you don’t even know what God will ask of you. Once you give a word, it is better you keep the word. And that’s why before giving a word , you should always take time and then give the word. How I wish that I can surrender , as much as this Shepherd ,who God raised as king over Israel, who has expressed: I want to do what you want.

Your teachings—yes, our God teaches in varied and many ways, especially through the revealed Word of God, through the prophets, through the Apostles, even today He speaks through ordinary servants, sometimes even through children. He has many ways,… in a dream, in a vision, through  a sign.

Your teachings are in my heart—yes, you have to cherish them in your heart. It is said about Mary: she pondered the words that has been greeted unto her,  and the message that was given to her.

When we keep the Word in our heart, it blooms, blossoms, spreads fragrance, fills an aroma, that not only heals us, ….flows through us, and heals the environment and people around us …..and the entire world, even the cosmos.

Let’s have that such beautiful disposition that David had.

Abba, My God, I want to do .. I want to do what You want. But I am weak and fragile. Let Your Sprit, the Helper help me to do what You want. Let Him imprint Your teachings in my heart. Let my heart sing even while I may be taking rest or relax, so that the Name of Your Son be glorified. I pray this in the Mighty Name of the Lord and Master Jesus Christ, Amen.
