Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time! Proverbs 15:23

Word at the right time

Joy comes to a man—joy comes to man in many ways. There are several, a kind of, uncountable ways a man gets pleasure, happiness, joy, some even get bliss, some go further into the state of ecstasy.

But Solomon in his wisdom says” joy comes to a man with a reply of his mouth.”

Every time a question is been asked, we tend to give an answer, a reply. Most often people regret the reply of their mouth. Because it complicates relationships, dilutes harmony, disrupts peace, creates turbulence, shutters union and fellowship.

That’s why we need to be careful about the reply of our mouth.

How good is a word —yes, a word, …..death and life are in the power of the tongue, says Bible. …..A word can heal, a word can lift, a word can nurture, a word can build, a word can empower. …. At the same time, a word can harm, break, disrupt, collapse. ….I wouldn’t want to continue with that vocabulary.

At the right time—timely word well-said is a gift. That’s why Jesus told, His disciples, Apostles, “Do not worry about what you need to say. At that time, at that hour, what you need to say, you will be given.”

Most often people waste their time and energy in preparing an answer. You will never know what is the question that is going to be asked of you. You will get perplexed.

Sometimes a word you never want to utter slips out of your tongue, for which you regret and apologize. It’s a waste of time, energy and life. ..

Better guard your mouth. These days message about this is been repeated. How I wish me and people around me everywhere learn this wonderful wisdom from the wisest man, blessed with/by divine wisdom.

Abba, help us have joy with the reply of our month. Let Your Spirit give the word the right time. In Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
